Produced by Sebastian Sünkler from Germany, this album uses a combination of rhythmic noise songs with influences of post-industrial genres which cover a wide range of dark electronic music. Their compositions are intended both for home listening and for industrial dancefloor madness.
The group Stahlschlag was formed in the early 2000s, as a way into the underground/party world.
When I listen to the songs, I can actually see myself dancing, in a bar, or a rave possibly.
The album as a whole lends a moving, almost futuristic/space/science fiction like, as a whole, although my favourite personally is Nothing Left Inside of Me.
I would recommend starting there, to get a feel for the album, although if you're looking for a more upbeat kind of thing, I would suggest to start with Neural Spikes.
I personally think that as far as listing experiences go, the entire album is a fantastic thing to listen to at once, although those were my two favourites.
The music touches you deeply, and you get a real feel for the powerful vibes in the music, that for me, seem to hit you right in your soul.
I find that the music overall is kind of hypnotic, and the drums and synthesizer are quite powerful in these, it really allows you to immerse your entire self into the music.
It's a little bit of everything for anyone, it goes from energetic, to Moody, to dark and anywhere in between it's really quite the journey!
I personally like the song Nothing Left Inside, as the combination of beats, and words spoken, make you really think on, and feel a time when you felt that a piece of you might have left, and there was in fact nothing left inside.
I think we can all relate to a moment in our lives where that felt like the case.
The song itself isn't really depressing however, because with the combination of music and various beats, it creates a feeling that you want to actually dance, and alleviate the "stress" you may be feeling.
This album marks the 20th anniversary of this group, and I suggest to go listen to it to everybody, I know that I will be playing it when I want to dance next!
