Laoku is the alternative rock solo project of Northamptonshire-based artist Giselle. Combining music, hand-drawn artwork and a growing world of recurring characters and otherworldly creatures, Laoku turns personal experiences and emotions into songs shaped by imagination and storytelling. Moving from earlier folk influences towards alternative rock and midwest emo, Giselle sees Laoku as a lifelong creative project, a place where music, art and the worlds they create can exist together.
